Friends...

What a weekend....

It was so nice to see our friends the Herrolds, here from Houston. Glad Ike didn't do more damage to their property then what he did! Although Amanda says she'll never stay to ride out another, we are glad they are safe! How fun it was to have Hannah over Sat. to hang with us. She is such a delight!

We also had our 3rd annual neighborhood picnic Saturday... with a record breaking attendance of over 200 people this year! Not as many volunteers as years past... but it went off without a hitch! I made my Mom's Texas Sheet cake recipe for the dessert contest, and won the $100.00 QT gift card...hmmmm, should I share it with Mom? maybe not, she doesn't have QT down there anyway...heehee... thx mom!! :)

From, Rib Crib BBQ, jupiter jumps, face painting, DJ's with their karaoke machine, and even the Schwan's ice cream truck... it was a great time! After 3 years it's nice to start recognizing people who aren't just next door, really makes it feel like a little community!

Great Job Marc & Jenn for all your hard work!!! Looking forward to next year already!
